You are now able to view some of the best and most up to date marine data/swell projections you can find (click on the image on the right-hand side of that page). If you currently attend URI, and would like to join the surfclub, go to the Student Senate Office in the Memorial Union. You can drop a message off in the club mailbox or ask someone in the office how to contact the current President.

General Info.

The Uri Surfclub has approximately 40+ active members in it and many more who are too busy with their studies to be fortunate enough to continue with the club. The entire club is members of the ESA (Eastern Surfing Association). There are also hundreds of alumni all over the country. Many of them come back for our annual Cape Hatteras trip. Everybody is connected to each other by email. The Surfclub has a list-server that distributes important emails to clubmembers.

The current President is Dave Bonnano and the Vice-President is Eric Scottaline. Each year the entire club is hard at work organizing surf and skate contests. The organization becomes larger each year and the future looks bright. All members are given an option to compete but it is not mandatory. It's all good all the time!

Each year trips are taken to Cape Hatteras (NC), Long Beach Island (NJ), Florida and more. We are right next to some of the best surf spots on the entire East Coast such as Ruggles and Point Judith as well as many others.

If you would like to join or become an associate member your in luck! If you attend a nearby college that is within 50 miles of the University of Rhode Island then you might be able to join. The club is trying to expand it's horizons by competing and chillin with other people and organizations on the East Coast. In 2000 people from William and Mary College and Sallisbury State College joined us on our trip down to Cape Hatteras, NC. We were stoked to say the least! If you'd like to join, see the contact page for contact info.
